The County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to ban all commercial cannabis activities — medical and non-medical — in unincorporated areas and took a first pass at regulating personal cultivation.
On May 14, The Coalition to Prevent Alcohol-Related Harms in LA Metro (CoPALM) hosted the first Cannabis Educational Forum at Los Angeles City Hall. As part of CoPALM’s mission to empower and educate the community, the coalition hosted a free event to engage community members, service providers and legislative officials in a conversation about the impacts of cannabis post-legalization.

Many citizens spoke on the divide between those who advocate for medical marijuana use and those who do not before the Long Beach City Council voted 6-3 on Sep. 22 in favor of re-instituting medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the city of Long Beach.
